Dec 11, Colombo: Journalist Maduka Thaksala Fernando, Head of the New Media and Digital department of the Lake House has been assaulted by a group that claims to belong to a trade union.

Journalist Maduka Thaksala Fernando has complained to the Fort Police that when he went to the office of the 'Resa' Newspaper, about 15 persons had entered the office, taken him to a place not covered by CCTV cameras, assaulted him and threatened him not to return to the Lake House.
