Journalist Raasaia Jayasankar has faced a physical attack while reporting on a road accident that occurred in Puthukulam, Vavuniya on 06th March 2022. A father and son have died due to the accident and angered people have attacked the bus which caused the accident. Raasia Jayasankar who had been there to report the tense situation has been assaulted by several persons, causing damage to his camera. He has lodged a complaint on the incident at the Poovarasan Kulam police station.
