YouTuber Rathindu Senaratne, also known as RATTA, a prominent leader of the anti government protests was arrested on 1st of August, after being summoned by the Colombo Crimes Division to provide a voluntary statement regarding Pathum Kerner who was previously arrested in relation to protests. Police said that he was arrested on charges of damaging public property during a protest at Bank of Ceylon Mawatha on the 21st of May. He was granted bail on the next day.
