As the leader of BBS,Galaboda-aththe Gnanasara, was about to taken into a prison after being convicted for threatening the wife of a disappeared journalist inside court premises, many journalists were waiting to take a photo of the convicted monk, Ishara Danasekara was one among them. She was the co-editor of vikalpa.org. She has been harrased and targeted by group of Buddhist monks who were the supporters of Bodu Bala Sena(BBS-Buddhist Power Brigade), outside the Homagama Court Premises on 14th of June Because she had been found as being sympathetic to the victim, Sandya Ekneligoda.
