Description

A protest occurred in the president Gotabaya Rajapakshas private residence at Mirihana on 31st March 2022. Late evening on that day protests became violent and protestors started to push the barricades placed by the police and entered the president's house. Barricades were pushed down and the Police fired water cannons and tear gas. To control the tense situation police have imposed the curfew and arrested the protestors. This tense situation has occurred due to the country's prevailing economic crisis.
