Description

Manjula Pathmanathan was a Tamil ITAK candidate. She claimed to have been beaten by a loyalist of a local MP, and had her mouth gagged and taped, blind folded and tied up to a window in the assailant’s house. She had complained to the Police, but claimed she was later pressured to withdraw the complaint as her and her family was threatened with being set alight using tyres.
