Former Attorney General Dappula de Livera was summoned to the Terrorism Investigation division to record a statement over a statement he made during an interview with a TV channel on 17th April 2021, claiming that there was a grand conspiracy behind the Easter Sunday bomb blast, considering the evidence available to him. On 18th of April, the Minister of Justice, Wijedasa Rajapaksa speaking at a press conference accused De Livera, for not taking necessary actions, and using powers available to him to investigate the matter rather than making public accusations.
