Anti-government protest site GoGotaGama that led to Sri Lanka’s regime change last year will not be allowed for protests any more, according to the Cabinet spokesperson, Minister Bandula Gunawardena. Speaking at a press conference he said that the cabinet has decided to reserve the Galle Face Green for the public to spend time freely and only for special religious activities. He also noted that the Sri Lanka Ports Authority has undertaken to develop the Galle Face Green as a social responsibility project.
