Human Rights attorney, civil rights activist, and writer Priyal Sirisena received death threats from an unknown caller on 25th May. Attorney Priyal has filed a complaint with the Kurunegala Police. The unknown caller has threatened the attorney not to interrupt the minister’s work and not to forget that he is travelling on public roads. He has received death threats from a foreign number (the number was “00971566018309, and its country code belongs to the United Arab Emirates). Attorney Priyal Srisena worked as an attorney, writer, and civil rights activist for over 16 years. He is the petitioner in the case that was filed for contempt of court at the Court of Appeal, where Minister of Parliament Sanath Nishantha faces charges of contempt of court
