On 28th may around 4 am a 56 years old regional Journalist called Selvarajah Ragendram of the newspaper Kaalai Kathir was attached by masked men on motorbikes with swords in Kolumputhurai,Jaffna. He is a father of three children. He works as a circulation manager of the newspaper. He was critically injured and admitted in the Jaffna Hospital. After that the police had started investigations.
