Description

The tense situation occurred on 29th April 2022 when police attempted to remove the banners and posters that had been placed on the Police bus that was continously parked blocking the pavement to enter the Temple trees. The one protester was injured and hospitalized. The anti government protesters near the temple trees claimed that a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) was present when the incident occurred. The police have forcefully parked the buses and trucks blocking the pavement in front of Temple trees where protestors were protesting. Group of Lawyers lodged a complaint to Colpety police about parked police buses and trucks that blocked the pavement and loudly playing recordings of Buddhist pirith causing inconvenience to the public.
