On 19th May 14 years of Mullivaikal Commerotation held at the Cemetery of Borella organised by the civil activists in the south was disrupted by the Sinhala Buddhist extremist group known as Ravana Balaya. Riots police deployed and attempted to control the situation. The Ravana Balaya Group has shown the play cards mentioning “no to LTTE commemorations”. Mullivaikal is a remembrance day that commemorates those who have died during the final stages of the Sri Lanka Civil War.
