Description

Police were reported to have fired tear gas on a protest which was held in front of the Katuwana police station on 12th of December. The protesters accused the police of killing a man in police custody but the police had denied the allegation. Hundreds of people gathered in front of the police station and started the protest with burning tires. According to the police the protesters had pelted stones to the police. Police Special Task Force was called and police used tear gas to disperse the protest.
