On 31st July 2022 a student activist and an undergraduate student of the University of Kelaniya, Management Faculty was abducted by unidentified people. He has been left on a roadside after being interrogated about other student activists. He is a team leader of the student union of University’s Management faculty. The president of the Student Union, Kelum Madanayake stated that the team leader was abducted and interrogated for three hours and questioned about the Inter University Student Federation convenor, Wasantha Mudilige and other student activists.
