On the 4th of February, a vehicle belonging to Shiva Shree Velu Sharma, a Hindu priest affiliated
with the Hatton plantation workers’ satyagraha, was reported to have been attacked by unknown
persons while parked in front of his house.The vehicle was reportedly badly damaged. Dimbula police are said to have begun an investigation into the incident which the priest believes to be the work of politicians in the area.
