A Journalist and a human right defender Ramachandran Sanath has received the summon notices from Terrorism Investigation Department on 1st April. The notice mentioned Ramachanran to appear before the TID office in Nuwara Eliya on 6th April. TID has refused to disclose the purpose of the inquiry.
Ramachandran Sanath is an independent Tamil Journalist, Human Right defender, and advocate who has worked with kandy plantation workers. Currently he works as the parliament correspondent for Uthayan and as an international correspondent for Ethirole, an Australia based Tamil news website. Also he has served as the executive treasurer and currently he is executive member of the Sri Lanka Working Journalist Association
